Health Promotion

ITRI places great emphasis on employee health and well-being, offering health checkups exceeding regulatory requirements, access to healthcare outpatient services and pharmacies, and the “ITRI Employee Health” system alongside diverse health promotion activities and seminars, creating a comprehensive health management and care service for employees. Each campus is staffed with occupational medicine specialists, providing services such as health check consultations, job placement/return-to-work guidance, maternal health protection, and occupational disease prevention. In 2024, ITRI organized 731 health promotion activities with a total of 196,375 participants. Additionally, psychological counseling rooms were established to provide professional mental health consultations and a variety of mind-body wellness programs, fully supporting employees’ psychological and physical well-being.

ɬHighlight Case | Building a Sustainable and Healthy Workplace

As sustainability practices have expanded from the “environment” to encompass “employee healthcare and promotion,” the Institute actively integrates multiple dimensions of well-being—knowledge (health awareness), movement (physical activity), nutrition (healthy diet), and support (health management)—to promote comprehensive physical and mental healthcare, achieving a balance among work, life, and health. In 2024, the Institute was honored with the CHR Gold Award for Corporate Health Responsibility – Non-Profit Organization Category.

The Institute has independently developed the “ITRI Employee Health” system, which tracks the five major indicators of metabolic syndrome, enabling employees to monitor their personal historical data trends and systematically manage health risks, thereby implementing the principle of “prevention over treatment.” In terms of health promotion, ITRI organizes activities such as walking programs, fat reduction initiatives, and ITRI Yo-Ho Club courses, while utilizing the internally developed "Posefit Muscular Functional Screening Mirror" to analyze posture and muscle conditions. Combined with coach recommendations, these efforts enhance employees’ exercise awareness and quality of life. In addition, ITRI promotes the "National Health Insurance Family Physician Integrated Care Program", establishing a bidirectional referral mechanism between clinics and hospitals to strengthen the management of chronic diseases and the three highs (hypertension, hyperglycemia, and hyperlipidemia).

In terms of mental health care, ITRI has established psychological counseling rooms and psychiatric outpatient services to provide professional support, enhancing employees’ workplace mental and emotional well-being. The ITRI cafeterias offer nutritious, diverse, and low-burden meals, and conduct regular self-administered food safety inspections. Employees can access information on daily menus, caloric content, ingredient sources, and inspection reports, ensuring a balanced focus on dietary health.
