ITRI established the ITRI Sustainability Steering Committee. Chaired by the President, the Committee convenes biannually to formulate decisions in collaboration with executives from the Board of President, appointed by the President. The Committee's objective is to implement ITRI's sustainable development vision, strategy, and operational guidelines; it also oversees the achievement and improvement of various sustainable development initiatives. In 2024, the committee convened two meetings. To promote and execute its mission of sustainability, ITRI established the ITRI Sustainability Committee, chaired by an executive from the Board of President appointed by the President. The Committee meets quarterly and convened four times in 2024 to identify sustainable development issues, set goals, oversee cross-team communication and resource integration, implement action plans, and track results. The ITRI Sustainability Committee is further divided into six task forces, each responsible for implementing sustainability actions aligned with the respective areas of ITRI’s Strategy & Roadmap. In addition, expert advisors in sustainable industries are engaged to provide guidance. The Office of ITRI Sustainable Development (Note) is responsible for continuously advancing organizational sustainability practices and integrating the progress of ITRI’s sustainability initiatives. To strengthen the connection between the ITRI Sustainability Steering Committee and the Board of Directors, ITRI reports on the progress of sustainable development, as well as the results of SDGs implementation and external communication to the Board on an annual basis, ensuring the fulfillment of ITRI’s commitment to sustainable development.

Note: The Office of ITRI Sustainability was originally established at the lab and center level. To reflect its cross-departmental collaboration function, strategic flexibility, and to highlight ITRI’s strong commitment to advancing sustainability, it was renamed the Office of ITRI Sustainable Development. The Task Force works collaboratively across all units and departments to drive the organization’s overall sustainability development.
