To enhance the foresight of technology R&D as well as the industrialization of its outcomes, ITRI has appointed a panel of international experts to form the Research Advisory Committee (RAC), serving as the highest governing body for the Institute's scientific research and innovation development. The committee is divided into the Strategy Advisory Committee (SAC) at the institutional level, the Advanced Research Advisory Committee (ARAC), the Commercialization Advisory Committee (CAC), and the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) at the technical level. Through clear division of responsibilities, the committees provide comprehensive planning and guidance from macroscopic strategies to technical details. This structure supports ITRI in enhancing its resilience to future technological and industrial challenges, promoting local value with a global perspective, and achieving innovation and sustainable development through scientific research and professional expertise. To enhance the establishment of technology strategies and blueprints and to discuss future industry trends, the Strategy Advisory Committee (SAC) engages internationally renowned experts and scholars from various fields—including biomedical and medical devices, mechanical and systems engineering, green energy and environment, materials chemistry and nanotechnology, electronics and optoelectronics, as well as information and communications. Through their guidance, the committee more accurately grasps the pulse of technology and innovation, assisting ITRI in injecting innovative thinking aligned with industry trends.
