    The "Industrial Technology Research Institute Establishment Act" was enacted, merging three institutes under the Ministry of Economic Affairs to form ITRI.

    The "Open Laboratory/Incubation Center," Taiwan's first startup incubation center, was founded.

    The "Remuneration Committee" was formed to oversee the salaries of ITRI's top executives.

  • 2006

    The "ITRI Employee Health Program" launched Taiwan's first digital employee health management system.

  • 2007

    The "Audit Committee" was established to ensure independent audits and evaluate internal controls.

  • 2010

    Taiwan's first "Carbon Footprint Restaurant" opened, with ITRI's cafeteria earning "Green Restaurant" certification in 2023.

  • 2011

    The "Social Welfare Committee" was established to implement social care through the application of advanced technologies.

  • 2011

    The "Green Campus" initiative was launched, positioning ITRI campuses as demonstration zones for cutting-edge green technologies.

  • 2013

    The "Industrial Safety and Health Committee" and "Quality Promotion Committee" were integrated to form the "Integrated Management System Committee" (Safety, Health, Quality, Environment, and Energy).

  • 2014

    ITRI won the inaugural "Presidential Innovation Award" and the first "Work-Life Balance Award."

  • 2019

    The "2030 Technology Strategy & Roadmap" was introduced, outlining a strategic shift from technological innovation to value-driven innovation.

  • 2019

    ITRI became the first organization under the Ministry of Economic Affairs to pass the audit for the "Cyber Security Management Act."

  • 2020

    ITRI introduced the "Code of Conduct for Integrity Operation" and formed the "Integrity Management Committee."

  • 2021

    The "Office of Net Zero and Sustainability Strategy" was established to promote zero-carbon initiatives.

  • 2022

    The "ITRI Sustainability Steering Committee" and "Office of ITRI Sustainability" were created to align with SDGs.

  • 2023

    ITRI launched its "Sustainability Strategy & Roadmap," published its first sustainability report.

  • 2023

    ITRI completed its 2022 greenhouse gas inventory, which was verified under ISO 14064-1 standards.

  • 2024

    The "Chief Sustainability Officer" role was created to deepen integration and proactively drive sustainability development, and ITRI published its second sustainability report, assured by TÜV Rheinland.

  • 2024

    ITRI received multiple awards, including the "Sustainability Citizen Award," "Talent Sustainability Award," and the CHR Health Citizen Award.

  • 2024

    Awarded the "Sustainability Citizen Award," "Talent Sustainability Award," "CHR Health Citizen Award"(first prize for NGOs), and "the Gold Award in the "Sustainability Report - Government and NGO Category" from the Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards.

    The Chinese designation of the “Office of ITRI Sustainable Development” has been renamed, while the English name remains unchanged. Meanwhile, the “Organizational Charter of the Office of ITRI Sustainable Development Task Force” has been announced.
